'Forever' Vaccine For The Flu

Scientists here in Massachusetts are working on a new vaccine that could protect people against seasonal flu and the swine flu -- far longer than the current vaccines. A Cambridge-based company has a developed a novel way to make a flu vaccine that doesn't require any of the flu virus. And one shot could last for years. Scientists at Variation Biotechnologies used synthetic pieces of protein to develop a flu vaccine back in 2006.
