TEXAS:"Don't count on getting an H1N1 shot for a while..."

Predictions that H1N1 vaccine would “trickle in” to Texas and the Houston area have turned out to be overly optimistic because of production delays.Instead of arriving by the thousands, doses have been hitting local health departments by the hundreds.
The federal government originally promised 120 million doses of H1N1 vaccine nationwide by now. Only 13 million have come through.
Late Wednesday, the Texas Department of State Health Services estimated that state providers have received 360,000 vaccine doses and predicted that number would more than double by the end of this week. A month ago, state health officials predicted about 1.7 million doses would be available by mid-October...
